WORLDSCHOOL HUB

For who?

Worldschooling families

For Families that travel the world schooling and are traveling Morocco, we offer a place
to feel at home during traveling.
Our simple, cosy and comfortable accommodation is perfect for families who want to experience living amongst local culture and breath-taking nature.
By providing the comforts of home and being located centrally, with having a lot to discover in the area, we feel we are truly the right place to go to for world schooling families that want to discover Morocco while still having a place that feels like home.

Homeschooling families

(Living in the Marrakech region)

For home schooling families that live in the Marrakech region, we provide a place to connect with other home/world schooling families and
local children. A place where children can learn from all this amazing world and country has to offer. Our community welcomes families who have
chosen to educate their children outside of the traditional school setting. We believe that learning does not only happen within the four walls of a classroom, but can also take place in the great outdoors, at museums, cultural events and in everyday interactions with people from different backgrounds. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where families can share resources, ideas and experiences. Where children can make new friends and learn from each other.
During our hub times we organize:
Learning time, the option to follow our curriculum.  the option to follow your own curriculum, field trips, workshops, lessons and other activities.
Wich all help to enrich the learning experience of our members.

Local children

For local children we provide a place to connect with world/home schooling children.
A place where they can help with organizing local projects and create a cultural exchange
environment. Our aim is to foster a sense of community for them and create opportunities for learning and growth. By bringing together children from different backgrounds and experiences, we hope to facilitate the exchange of ideas and perspectives that can enrich all our lives. Through collaborative projects, we encourage children to develop leadership skills and take an active role in making a positive impact on their local community. We believe that by providing a space for cultural exchange, we can help children to broaden their horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.

OUR BASIC PRINCIPLES

HOLISTIC APPROACH

On Madrasa Dunya we use our own Holistic approach. The focus in our approach is to inspire the children to think and decide for themselves, while still understanding the responsibility of being part of a community, that thrives because of this.

This approach comes from being inspired by nature and our experience in working in and researching about different alternative education schooling methods like:

Democratic schooling.

The Waldorf method.

Montessori approach.

RYTHMS & CYCLES

In Madrasa Dunya we respect and honour the natural rhythms and cycles of nature.
We use the natural rhythms and cycles of life as an inspiration for our yearly, seasonally, monthly, weekly and daily rhythms & themes.
By aligning ourselves with the natural world, we are able to create a connection with the earth and the environment around us.
This connection allows us to
live more in harmony with nature, and to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the world we live in.  At Madrasa Dunya, we believe that this connection is essential for our well-being and happiness, and we strive to instil this belief in all of our students.
Through our curriculum, we teach our students to respect and protect the
environment, to live sustainably, and to appreciate the richness and diversity of the
natural world.

FREEDOM WITH
RESPONSIBILITY

On Madrasa Dunya we teach children that all freedom comes with responsibility
We believe that it is important for children to understand that freedom is not just
about doing what they want, but also about being accountable for their actions.
This is why we encourage our students to make responsible choices and to think
about the consequences of their actions. We teach them that their freedom ends
where another person's freedom begins and that they should always be mindful
of how their actions might affect others.
By instilling these values in our students,
we hope to prepare them for a future where they can exercise their freedom
with wisdom and compassion.

CRITICAL THINKING
& PROBLEM SOLVING

In Madrasa Dunya we believe that critical thinking and problem solving are important traits to have.
We believe that one of the big problems in this world is that people don't think for themselves.
That's why we offer a place where children get a change to see problems as a opportunity to learn from and are encouraged to question what is presented to them.
By questioning what is presented to them,
they can develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Our curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking and problem solving skills.
By teaching children to think for themselves and see problems as opportunity, we hope to foster a generation of independent thinkers who are not afraid to question the norm. Our goal is to help students develop a curiosity and passion for learning that will serve them well throughout their lives.

LEARN FROM EACH OTHER

In Madrasa Dunya we create the opportunity to learn from each other as we offer our
hub for people of all kinds of ages and backgrounds. Mixing families and children of different ages and backgrounds allows to learn from each other.
We provide a unique learning experience by promoting cross-cultural understanding
and respect for diversity. Our approach to education is holistic and inclusive,
where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives.
Without judging the other. This creates a vibrant and dynamic community where
learning happens naturally. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where lifelong learning is celebrated.

COMMUNICATION & DECISION MAKING

In Madrasa Dunya we believe the way we communicate and make decisions in our
community is very important,
for this reason we have chosen the Gorden and C.O.N.S.E.N.T. Method as inspiration for
the way we communicate and make decisions. The Gordon and C.O.N.S.E.N.T. Method are communication and decision-making approaches that emphasize active listening, mutual respect, and inclusivity.
Those methods involve creating a safe and open space for all community members to
share their opinions and ideas, and then working together to find a solution that everyone can agree on. By using this approach, we hope to foster a culture of collaboration and
understanding within our community, and ensure that everyone's voice is heard and
valued. While at the same time being constantly evolving as a community.
At Madrasa Dunya, we are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive
environment where individuals can thrive and grow together.

DAILY RYTHM

In Madrasa Dunya we use our own holistic education approach.
We focus on awakening a child's own eccentric motivation by inspiration.
We do this with offering a daily rhythm.
Like in nature where the cubs play free all day and learn a lot whilst playing.
But the parents continue with their daily RYTHM and needed life skills and tasks. The children join them naturally, like a monkey cracking peanuts with a stone together with his son.
Or cheetahs hunting while their kids are watching from behind the bushes.
We dive through each subject, to have the kids experience it in multiple ways.

Because all kids in all ages are different.
We will offer all different kind of classes and activities for the kids of all
ages free to choose from or join.
In this way we try to include all kinds of kids,
the ones that need structure and rhythm
and the ones that are used to more freedom.
